Imagine seeing this driving down the highway: a gas hose STILL stuck inside a vehicle! DOH! According to CTV News, it happened recently in British Columbia, Canada when troopers pulled over the oblivious driver. As you’ll read in their recent X post, the driver was angry at first but then cooled their attitude and apologized once they realized their boneheaded mistake. Seeing this story brings back a very fond family memory. It was the summer of 1987. Our family was preparing to make our annual trip east to visit family in West Virginia. We stopped into a gas station in Kokomo, Indiana to fill up. My dad was good friends with the owner (that’s important and you’ll see why). My dad needed to use the bathroom, so he asked my then 15 year old brother to gas up our van. After paying inside, my dad climbed in our van and proceeded to take off. Only problem: my brother hadn’t removed the gas hose from our van! It ripped right off the side of the gas tank with gas spewing everywhere! That story still comes up every year at holiday gatherings~

Driving home from Shambhala, a BMW driver was angry at getting stopped. He changed to apologetic when police explained why. The driver returned the hose and nozzle to the gas station. Case closed. pic.twitter.com/qK937TWLyg
